Ali Sajjad brings more than 30 years of CONUS and OCONUS experience in program management,
business development, and engineering in space technology and telecommunications. As an
Indian-American, he feels privileged and honored to have supported U.S. warfighters in multiple
theatres of operations and at forward operating bases in Iraq, Kuwait, and Afghanistan throughout
his career. He was stationed in Kandahar from 2011 until 2013.
The U.S. Small Business Administration has recognized Mr. Sajjad as an Emerging Leader, one of
only 20 small business CEOs from the highly competitive Washington DC metro area to receive
this prestigious honor. Mr. Sajjad has taught courses throughout the world in satellite
communications covering low-Earth orbit (LEO), middle-Earth orbit (MEO) and geosynchronous
Orbit (GEO) satellites systems.
Mr. Sajjad received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin and his Master’s
Degree in Business Administration in Technology Management.
Greg Brandsted
Chief Operating Officer
Greg Brandsted has more than 30 years of experience in military and civilian signal
communications. Mr. Brandsted has over 20 years’ experience specifically in Satellite
communications for the US Government and brings that experience with him to the team.
He started his communications career in the U.S Army ending as a Senior NCO at the US
Space and Missile Defense Command / Army Strategic Command. He has worked for several
major contractors to include ARINC / SAIC / Raytheon / DRS throughout his civilian career
supporting various military commands and organizations deployed world-wide. Mr. Brandsted
was a Director of Programs at DRS and performed duties as the Deputy of the Program
Management Office prior to joining the Simba Enterprises team.
Michael Bressette,Jr.
Chief Technical Officer
Mr. Bressette has more than 20 years VSAT experience in satellite communications, radios, and
mechanical equipment. He was Country Manager for the U.S. Army’s LOGCAP IV program,
Director of Global Operations for Africa and the Middle East, and SWA.
Mr. Bressette started his career in the US Army 1st Battalion 22nd Infantry and was deployed to
AOR Iraq, where he was nominated for a purple heart.
He pursued a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Computer Science from Dartmouth College and
has completed several Cisco training courses and advanced certification programs, including
ones focused on O3b and AVL.
Jon Joshlin
Director of Technical Services
Jon Joshlin has more than 16 years of IT and VSAT experience across several disciplines. He served
in the U.S. Army and U.S. Army Reserves for 15 years in both artillery and communications and
was deployed to AOR Iraq in 2003. He was Country Manager for the GTACS program and held
several other IT positions, including Helpdesk Manager and Network Engineer.
Mr. Joshlin has an Associate of Science degree in Information Systems and is currently pursuing
a Bachelor’s degree from American Military University. He holds several IT certifications from
CompTIA and has completed several Cisco training courses and advanced certifications
programs, including ones covering O3b and AVL.
Melvin Cortes
Program Manager
Melvin Cortes has more than 17 years of experience in information technology, operations
management, customer service, and satellite communications. Having participated in both
domestic and international operations, Mr. Cortes is an expert in mission-essential equipment
and monitoring personnel safety/training and development. He possesses the ability to
establish and maintain sustainable partnerships within any organization. A strategic thinker
and resourceful problem-solver, he has led several cross-functional IT communications and
satellite security implementation installs.
Mr. Cortes served 12 years in the U.S. Army Signal Corps as a Senior Signal System Support
Specialist and is an Iraq/Afghanistan war veteran.
Mr. Cortes holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Multi-Disciplinary Studies and an Associate
of Arts degree in Business Administration. He also holds several key industry certifications,
including Project Management Professional (PMP), CompTIA Security + (Sec+), Certified Cisco
Network Associate (CCNA), O3B/AVL Installation and Commissioning, GVF (500, 510, 520, 521),
Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt), and Lean Six Sigma (Black Belt).
